Gervonta “Tank” Davis (22-0, 21KOs) has vacated his WBA (Super) Lightweight title and moved up to the stacked super lightweight division. He automatically becomes the #1 contender for the 135 pound WBA title. Will his promotion team allow him to fight Vasiliy “Hi-Tek” Lomachenko straight away?
If Lomachenko were to win this fight he would hold 3 of the 4 major titles at 135lbs and he would be one step closer to his dream of being an undisputed champion.
Anthony Yarde showed up to fight. You could see the hunger and determination that the young fighter had. He wanted it badly, but lack of experience played a huge role, especially late in the fight.

Boxrec has never been known for its rankings, but this list might throw any ounce of credibility they had left out of the window.
It’s kind of funny because GGG was originally stripped of his IBF title for not fighting then mandatory challenger, Derevyanchenko, as a late replacement for Canelo.

Can Caleb Plant forge his path to greatness? Can he clean out the super middleweight division? It’s entirely possible. He is definitely the most technical boxer at 168lbs – he’s ultra fast, has very good footwork, and has a high ring IQ.
Both fighters faced off at the final press conference and things got little chippy. Harsh words were exchanged and the fighters had to be separated before things went any further. Caleb Plant has clearly gotten under Mike Lee’s skin. Could it play a role in the fight?
This is one of the biggest fights of the year. It pits old versus young, legend versus champion, but it is lion versus lion.
There have been rumors flying for the past couple months about who Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (52-1-2, 35KOs) will fight next. A lot has happened recently. A lot of names being mentioned, some changes in the division. One thing is for certain though – no matter who Canelo fights, boxing fans will be tuning in for it.
